What is SendReceived?
SendReceived is an automated web based service that is designed to improve direct communication between all Senders and Receivers of postal, courier, freight or fax delivered items.
Are downloads or plugins required?
No. You can use SendReceived from any location where you have access to the worldwide web.
How does it work?
SendReceived requires Senders to Register for the Service who can then input information about the delivery. This can include track and trace details if applicable. The system then sends an automated notification to the Receiver about the pending delivery. After the ETA (estimated time of arrival) period has elapsed the Receiver receives a follow up alert email that prompts for confirmation of the delivery. If there is no confirmation the Sender is alerted and both parties have the option to take further action. When the parcel arrives the Receiver can confirm the delivery. They can also elect to provide feedback on the delivery service, received condition and matching of contents to order etc.
What is the difference between SendReceived and other similar services available on the web?
SendReceived is the first of its kind to be offered. It is complimentary to track and trace systems. Information regarding track and trace codes is made available to the Receiver immediately on Sending the item. This makes it easy for either party to implement track and trace without additional communication e.g. follow up telephone calls when it is finally realized a delivery has not occurred. Further, it is unlike confirmation of delivery services because it provides for direct communication between Senders and Receivers. It also allows Receivers to provide independent and systematic feedback to the Sender such as parcel contents and the delivery organization. It is a logical link between email and "traditional mail” and offers an immense opportunity for individuals, business and organizations to differentiate themselves.
How does it work with email filters?
Increasingly, Internet Service Providers (ISP) are using filtering systems to try and keep spam out of customers' inboxes. Sometimes, they accidentally filter the email that you want to receive. In many cases you are not notified (and neither are we) that SendReceived email didn't get through. To make sure that SendReceived emails are not filtered into "junk" or a "bulk" folder, we provide a link on the Whitelist page that shows how Senders and Receivers can add SendReceived to their “Whitelist” of trusted senders.
Is it a must for a Receiver to confirm the receipt of an delivery?
No, although they will continue to be prompted. Regardless, unconfirmed deliveries within the ETA provide you an immediate opportunity rather than what could otherwise take several wasted and valuable days to take further action.
How much will it cost me?
A Free trial (10 credits) is offered. For customers the cost per item is dependant on volume and can range from USD 5 to 50 cents dependant on the pricing option selected.
What do I need to get started?
You simply register on the site (takes around 2 minutes) and you can commence sending notifications.
My email software already has a feature called "Return Receipts." Why do I need SendReceived?
"Return Receipts" is only designed for a response to the email you have just sent. It does not work for delivery of an item by postage, courier or freight. Please note that email delivery is virtually immediate whereas items sent by the postal service or courier can take days or sometimes weeks to reach the intended recipient.
Why do I not simply invest in an auto responder programme?
Auto responders are designed for a completely different purpose. An autoresponder is a computer program that automatically answers email sent to it. It is primarily designed as a marketing tool with the express purpose of getting potential clients to purchase a product. It is not intended to allow for independent thought e.g. a Yes or No answer to a question like “have you received the parcel?”. Rather it provides an automatically pre-defined response.

How do I sign up?
Just go to the registration page, fill in your details and sign up. You can get a free trial 10 credits sufficient for 10 post, parcel or freight items. Become a regular customer and select either Credit or Subscription based pricing. Please see our Pricing pages for all the options.
What will happen if I run out of credits?
You will be prompted to top up your account with a minimum purchase or you can sign up for recurring monthly payments. Please ensure you select an amount or subscription matched to your needs.
What do I do to top up my account?
Simply login with your username and password then select the credit option you want. Should you be a regular user then you may wish to consider subscription based pricing. For a fixed monthly price you get X amount of credits automatically made available. Please ensure you select the option based on your best estimate of peak monthly usage. Thus ensuring you do not run out of credits part way through the month.
Do any unused monthly credits carry over to the following month?
No, the system has been developed as simple as possible in order to keep your costs down. In future we may include this capability.
Can I get a Refund on unused credits?
A Free trial is offered so that you can fully explore the features and benefits of the system. So please ensure you have selected the most suitable pricing option that matches your needs. SendReceived will have no obligatiion to provide a Refund for amounts previously paid. Any refunds will be given at the sole discretion of the Company Management. Please refer to our Terms of Use Page (Clause 5).
Is my email address safe with you? Will I get spammed?
Your email is completely safe. We never send, allow, or support spam of any kind, and we never give out our email lists for any reason. See our privacy statement and our terms of service for full reassurance.
Can I add attachments to the email?
No. Unfortunately the size of attachments and their content can impact on the reliability of delivery. Further, this would add to cost thus eroding our objective of providing a low cost service. You can, however, cut and paste text into the message part of an pending delivery alert.
I sent a communication but the Receiver will not confirm delivery?
Please check they are actually receiving the message i.e. there are no filter blocking the receipt of the email. You can direct them to our “Whitelist” pages on email filters should they need assistance with adding SendReceived.com to their Whitelist. Separately we offer the service in good faith and are unable to be held responsible should your email contacts not elect to participate.
Who controls the frequency of contact?
One of the benefits of SendReceived is that the frequency of contact following the expiry of the ETA (estimated time of delivery) will never be anymore than once per 24 hours. Given the Sender determines the ETA then the frequency of contact is largely controlled by users
